Privacy Policy — FajrAlarm

Last updated: July 23, 2026

FajrAlarm ("the app") is a Fajr prayer-time alarm app made by 1Muslim. This policy explains what information the app uses, how it's used, and what never leaves your device.

Location

FajrAlarm uses your device's location, with your permission, to calculate accurate Fajr (and other prayer) times for where you are. This happens entirely on your device:

Alarms

FajrAlarm uses Apple's AlarmKit framework to schedule your Fajr alarm directly with iOS, so it can ring reliably even in Silent Mode or Focus. Alarm scheduling happens on-device; Apple's AlarmKit does not send alarm data to us or to Apple's servers beyond what iOS itself requires to run the alarm.

What we store, and where

Your settings — whether the alarm is on, chosen sound, volume, snooze preference, and your selected or cached location — are stored only in your device's local app storage (UserDefaults). We do not operate an account system, and none of this is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Prayer-times database updates

On launch, the app checks 1muslimapp.com to see whether a newer prayer-times database is available, and downloads it if so. This request does not include your location or any personal data — only a version identifier.

What we don't do

Children's privacy

FajrAlarm does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no account system and collects no personal data beyond the on-device location use described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
