Overview

Gallerynizer is a photo and video library organizer that runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no server, no user account, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking of any kind. Every feature — finding exact duplicates, re-encoding large videos, browsing your library — works by reading and, when you explicitly choose to, changing your Photos library directly on this device. Nothing about your photos, videos, or how you use the app is ever transmitted anywhere.

Information Gallerynizer Accesses

With your permission, Gallerynizer accesses your device's Photos library through Apple's PhotoKit framework: photo and video files, thumbnails, and metadata such as file size, pixel dimensions, duration, creation date, filename, and favorite/album status. This access is used only to display your library, detect exact duplicates, and re-encode videos you choose to shrink. Gallerynizer requests full or limited Photos access depending on what you grant in iOS Settings, and never requests more than what a given feature needs.

Information Stored On Your Device

To avoid repeating expensive work, Gallerynizer keeps a small local database (not synced or backed up to iCloud, and excluded from device backups) containing: cryptographic hashes of file contents used to detect exact duplicates, and a log of past cleanup actions (what was removed, when, and how much space it freed) shown in the History tab. This database never contains the photos or videos themselves — only hashes and the numeric/text metadata described above — and is protected by iOS's strongest file-encryption class, meaning it's unreadable while your device is locked.

Information Gallerynizer Does Not Collect

Gallerynizer does not collect your name, email, or any account identifier — there is no account. It does not collect location data, contacts, or any data from other apps. It does not use advertising identifiers, does not include any analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and does not include any third-party code at all — every part of the app is built only on Apple's own frameworks (PhotoKit, SwiftUI, SwiftData, AVFoundation, CryptoKit). There is nothing in the app capable of sending your data over a network, because the app makes no network requests of any kind other than checking whether your connection is Wi-Fi or cellular, to honor your Settings preference for iCloud downloads.

Sharing Your Information

Gallerynizer does not share, sell, or transmit your photos, videos, or any data about them to anyone — not to Anthropic, not to Apple beyond the standard PhotoKit/iCloud services already built into your device, and not to any other third party. The only way content leaves the app is when you explicitly use the iOS share sheet to send a photo or video somewhere yourself.

Deletion and Retention

When you remove a photo or video through Gallerynizer, the deletion goes through the standard iOS system confirmation and the item is moved to Photos' own "Recently Deleted" album for about 30 days, exactly as if you had deleted it from the Photos app directly — Gallerynizer has no special access to bypass or shorten that. The local hash cache and cleanup-history log described above persist only on this device for as long as the app is installed; you can clear the cleanup-history log at any time from the History tab, and uninstalling the app removes all of it permanently.

Children's Privacy

Gallerynizer does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from anyone at all — there is no account, no server, and no data transmitted off the device for any user regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If Gallerynizer's data practices ever change — for example, if a future version adds a feature that requires network access — this policy will be updated first, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect that change.
